Who We Are
Living in Maryland most of their lives, God called the Reed family to minister in The Gambia, where they have been serving since 2021.
Michele received Christ at the age of twelve when she was repeatedly invited to attend a youth group by a friend. At nineteen, Patrick and Michele began a courtship even though Patrick did not believe in God. A year later, God prevailed, and Patrick received Christ into his life, and they married soon after. They have been happily married since 2002 and have three wonderful children.
In February 2017, after working in the business sector for twenty years, Patrick heard the Lord's call to serve in foreign missions. In March, God opened Patrick and Michele's hearts to start the ministry of church planting in The Gambia. ABWE (Association of Baptists for World Evangelism), gave them the training and guidance they needed to minister to the people and share the message of salvation through business and education. The Gambia is almost entirely Muslim, with only a small percentage of evangelical Christians.
