In December, we embraced American Christmas traditions—visiting train gardens, attending parades, our sending church's Christmas Banquet, and enjoying tree lightings with family and friends. This festive season was such a valuable time of renewal for our family.

In January, we met with several individuals and shared our ministry with the congregation at Brisbin Baptist in Brisbin, PA, where we were warmly received. Please pray that they will consider supporting us monthly. We also visited Marshy Hope Church, a new church plant in Federalsburg, MD, which took us on as their first missionaries. Earlier, Pastor Jason McConnell from Marshy Hope had been contacted by Maranatha Baptist in Dover, DE, regarding help to launch a kids’ evening program, but they needed someone to lead the project. Pastor McConnell connected them with Michele, who was eager to serve while on furlough. Michele met with Maranatha's leadership to discuss their needs, leaving excited about the new program's possibilities.

February brought us back to Hope Baptist in Laurel, MD. We reconnected with our previous church family. It was a sweet time filled with familiar faces and new connections. We shared stories of what God has done in our lives. We also connected with Oakridge Church, who had just returned from another meeting in The Gambia and seeks to return in July. Later in the month, Patrick flew solo to Canada. He happily reported to Stony Creek Baptist Church, where he was warmly welcomed, prayed for, and encouraged during his visit. Meanwhile, Michele and the kids visited her childhood home and spent time with family. Danielle was eager to attend Difference Makers Church in Damascus, MD. This was the place where Michele found the Lord as a teenager. It was a delightful surprise to return after so many years. It became a divine appointment. On that Sunday, the congregation was sending off two mission teams. The pastor invited Michele to the stage to share her journey. He expressed his amazement at how she had become a missionary all these years later.

As many of you know, we have been operating with a budget deficit for over a year. We often draw from our outfit and passage account to cover the gap. With the new year, our budget needs have grown. Yet, thanks to the ongoing generosity of our supporters, increased commitments, and new partnerships, we have been able to close the gap from 91% to 94% of our total need. In faith, we have already booked our flights for July. This further reduces our outfit and passage budget. We would be deeply grateful for any one-time contributions to help us replenish the funds that the flight has cost our account.
