November Newsletter
Dear Friends,
Happy Thanksgiving! We are so thankful to God for all He has provided for us. We are at 95%!! We only need a little over $350 a month in support to start our clearances to The Gambia. Our boost in support came from Faith Community Church in Camden, Delaware, a business, and an individual who increased support. What a wonderful thing to be grateful for during a time of thanksgiving.
Patrick, Joan, and Michele
This month we were pleased to be guest speakers at the Delmarva Baptist Fellowship. Patrick shared a sermon and testimony while Michele was the guest speaker for the women of the group. We were blessed to be with fellow ministry leaders as we get another step closer to The Gambia. We decided to move forward and get the children's passport information filled out and submitted as it can take as long as ten weeks to receive them. Please pray all goes well and nothing gets lost in the mail. We want to thank you for your continued prayer for our future teammate Joan who just this week hit 100% support and is now seeking her clearances to The Gambia, and we pray to be behind her shortly. We were delighted to have a meeting with her over dinner one evening to get to know each other better. Also, this month, we were able to coordinate a meeting with Alison, another teammate of ours to The Gambia. We were glad to have her as she is finally back in the U.S.A. on furlough due to all the covid delays on travel. She came to our home and gave us loads of do's and don'ts as we come to full support.
As we start looking toward packing our bags and a shipping container, we are looking for your help. As many of you know, one of the responsibilities we will be taking over is a guesthouse ministry to receive and house missionaries from around the world and different agencies to enhance the kingdom of God. Our remarkably well-run guesthouse, with its four apartments, is equipped with bathrooms, beds, a living area, and a kitchen however, it is due for a linen update. This is where you come in. Would you consider adopting an area to provided linens? Maybe a kitchen which needs new hand towels, dish towels, oven towels, oven mitts, and potholders. Maybe you would be more inclined to provide for just a bed or a set of bunk beds with a coverlet (light quilt), pillows, pillow protector(s), mattress protector, and quick dry sheets. We have beds in all shapes and sizes including, bunkbeds, a bunkbed with full on bottom, a single XLong, full and queen sizes. Maybe you would be interested in getting a group together to supply linens and adopt an entire apartment. Please consider putting the guesthouse ministry on your Christmas list this year. Let us know what areas you are interested in providing for and enjoy the gift of giving.
