December Newsletter

Happy New Year! We pray you had a blessed Christmas. We had a wonderful time as we remembered the great gift God sent us through His Son Jesus Christ and the celebration of our salvation. This past month, we saw God do some exciting things. It is almost overwhelming to think about what God may do this year as we are now at 98% of our monthly need. Michele finally finished her missional theology class, so we now have our educational training clearance, and we received our medical clearance.

We are happy to announce that all four of our guesthouse kitchens, a bunk bed, and three other beds have been adopted. Praise God! As you know from last month's newsletter, we are collecting the need to upgrade the linens for the Guesthouse ministry. We have all four bathrooms still in need of new quick-dry towels and many more beds. It is not too late to help. We still have places to adopt as linens go on sale this January.

Being fluid and flexible is part of missionary life. At the beginning of December, we were supposed to present our ministry to Calvary Bible Church in Lewistown, PA. Unfortunately, due to state Covid restrictions in Pennsylvania, it made visiting in person impossible. Patrick, over the past many months, has become quite proficient in making videos. We were able to use this new set of skills to create a presentation video. The 10-minute video of our testimony and presentation of our ministry in The Gambia, Calvary was able to play our presentation for

the congregation. We are very grateful that Calvary was willing to collaborate with us as Covid changed our plans.

Now underway is our generator campaign. One of the final items that we would like to pack in our shipping container is a generator and a few air conditioners to provide cooling in our bedrooms during the sleeping hours. Please consider a one-time gift to help us purchase these items before our departure. These funds will go towards a new generator, three air conditioners, wiring, and electric panels. *type generator under additional donation details to allocate the funds. If you would like to learn more about how you can donate to this campaign, please visit our website at www.ReedsforChrist.com and click on the Generator Campaign tab.

Thank you for your continual prayer and that God would make the path clear for us as we start to handle the logistics of selling our house, packing a container, obtaining visas, and preparing to move our family.

Prayer Requests

Pray that God will raise up the remaining 2% of support so we may depart for The Gambia this year. Pray that God would call more people to The Gambian mission field.

Continue to Pray for Michele’s uncle who is undergoing cancer treatment.
