The information-filled seminar included an abundance of instruction on pre-field ministry, mobilization, missionary studies, support raising, prayer cards, websites, newsletters, and more. Interview meetings included personal and couple interviews, medical, financial, educational requirements, and child education.
Candidate appointee interviews were an exciting opportunity to tell our personal testimonies to the ABWE board of directors. We spoke of how God is leading us to spread the gospel in The Gambia through business and education. The board of directors had many thoughtful questions about this new avenue to reach the Gambian people.
ABWE inspired us with their value of excellence and training. However, they also showed us Christ in action, emulating love, care, and support for God’s people. The time we spent with other new missionaries and the ABWE staff for more than two weeks created a bond that will last forever.
