August 2019 Newsletter
We have spent much of August setting up meetings with new churches for this fall. The Lord has provided many opportunities with churches in Michigan, Ohio, and New York. We are excited to visit with these churches and share our ministry burden for The Gambia and the Wolof people. We pray that they too will have a burden to bring the gospel to the Wolof!
First, a note from last month. We didn’t have space to share with you the photo below in our last newsletter. It was taken at the Missionary Enrichment Conference. We were able to spend time with Deb and Teresa who are veteran missionaries to The Gambia. It is always a blessing hanging out with each of them, and we look forward to seeing them in the near future.

This past month, we also spent time promoting our ministry to individuals through Facebook. At the suggestion of, and with the help of some friends, we produced a video about our ministry and how individuals can become partners. If you have ever made and edited a video, then you know how much time it can take to put one together!
Patrick has been making promotional videos for our sending church for awhile now, and he has gained a little experience in shooting and editing videos. The friends who suggested the idea also payed to boost the promotion on Facebook and many have shared the video. We have already gained some new partners as a result and many others are now aware of the ministry.
The concept of the video was “Become a one percenter”. We need 100% of our monthly support goal to leave for The Gambia and people can contribute 1% of that goal by becoming a partner at $70 a month. We are now at 61% of our target. If you are not a financial partner of our ministry, please consider becoming a one percenter. With 39 more one percenters, or a combination of one percenters and new church partners, you can help us reach the Wolof people for Christ! Even if $70 a month is out of your budget, every dollar gets us closer to 100%. Please pray and consider partnering with whatever amount the Lord lays on your heart.
Prayer Requests
Pray for new ministry partners to bring us over 85% before this October to attend FPS class at ABWE.
Pray for safe travel to Michigan and fruitful meetings with churches.
Pray for the Wolof people and that God would soften their hearts towards the gospel.
Pray that the rain would slow down in The Gambia so the missionaries can charge their solar batteries for electricity.
