October 2019 Newsletter

October was busy with travels and church meetings in Ohio and New York. We also got to enjoy some family vacation time up in the Adirondack mountains thanks to some great folks at a church we were visiting. God provided great blessings this month and increased our monthly support bringing us one step closer to leaving for The Gambia!

We started the month off traveling to Ohio for a meeting with Calvary Baptist Church in Coshocton. During Sunday school we shared our testimonies and about our future ministry. Patrick preached a message during the morning service. Calvary has a wonderfully faithful congregation and we enjoyed staying with and getting to know Pastor Gibson and his wife Rachel.

The following week we traveled to Northville, NY which is located at the southern part of the Adirondacks. We presented our ministry during the Sunday evening service and stayed with Pastor Klueg and his wife Barbara. We are very thankful for their great hospitality. For the next three nights, the Gregor family was kind enough to let us stay in one of their vacation apartments overlooking the river. Everyone had an exciting time hiking, fishing, exploring caves, and enjoying the fall foliage. Patrick probably enjoyed the fishing more than everyone else, but all had a good time.

We wrapped up the New York trip by heading a couple of hours west to Scipio Baptist church. Scipio is one of the first churches we shared our ministry with during their missions conference. Pastor Joe Pine asked Patrick to if he would preach for one of their Sunday morning services due to a conflict in his schedule. Chuck and Melinda Kostreva hosted us for a few days during our visit and we are very thankful for their wonderful kindness and hospitality during our stay.

On the way back from New York, we stopped in Philadelphia for a night and decided to visit Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. We also got word that day from First Baptist Church in Vassar, Michigan that they had voted to begin supporting our ministry! In addition, some other individual families who have been supporting our ministry decided to increase their support! This brings our monthly support level to 70%! We praise God for His blessings!

This coming month we will be headed to North Carolina and back to Ohio to visit more churches. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel.

Prayer Requests

Pray for safe travel during the month of November and for receptivity to our ministry in the churches we visit.

Pray for a young woman who is staying with us the next few days. She is an atheist and needs the Lord.

In Christ,

The Reeds
